Montebamboli, in the heart of the Maremma, offers the chance to do marvellous excursions on horseback, on foot or by bicycle, exploring unspoilt nature. In the immediate vicinity, in the municipality of Massa Marittima, there is the Centro Carapax, natural park and European centre for the protection of tortoises. At Carapax there is the largest aviary in Italy which houses a colony of Italian storks.

Tourist destinations of great cultural interest lie within 60 km of Montebamboli, such as; Elba, Populonia, Bolgheri, Volterra, Siena, San Galgano, Roselle, Montalcino, and Vetulonia.
Finally, Montebamboli, that also boasts a fine historic wine-cellar, is situated on the Strada del Vino Monteregio di Massa Marittima, and is thus ideally placed for gastronomic and wine-tasting tourism of a very high quality.
